Dimensional control the prefabricated pipes
The final deliverable to the client was a set of measurement reports, which confirmed that the pipes were constructed according to the NORSOK standard.
Project description:
The primary task for our surveyors was to dimensional control the prefabricated pipes intended for the SBM Liza Destiny and Liza Unity FPSO units. The installation design provided by the client was based on a point cloud acquired by CAPNOR during fieldwork in Guyana. With access to complete 3D data, we conducted ‘clash checks’ at every stage of the project.
While working at the COSCO site, we performed geometry checks on over 500 pipes. This included verifying the accuracy of flange position, the overall pipe geometry, and the positioning of support structures. During this process, our surveyors took more than 1,700 individual measurements.
Based on these measurements, we conducted a pre-installation review using CAD software to ensure a seamless installation that aligns with the design provided by the client.
The final deliverable to the client was a set of measurement reports, which confirmed that the pipes were constructed according to the NORSOK standard.
