Merger between Apply Capnor and Grenland AsIs Global

Today, Apply Capnor has entered into an agreement with Grenland Group to buy Grenland AsIs Global (ASIS). Apply Capnor and ASIS represent front-line technology in the laser-scanning market, and are, at present, the two leading independent laser-scanning providers in Norway.

- This acquisition will help reinforce our commitment in product development and internationalisation, says Board Chairman in Apply Capnor, Per Bjorn Habbestad. - Laser-scanning and 3D-modelling help reduce costs significantly for our customers, and revolutionise interactive technology in relation to integrated operations, says Habbestad. - But this technology is expensive to develop, and we must therefore seek large scale operational advantages, which we combine with international sub-production in Poland and Malaysia

The two companies have a combined turnover of close to 100 million, and will both be moving into new joint office premises at Koppholen 2-4 in the course of the summer.

The transaction is dependent on the approval of the Konkurransetilsyn (Competition authority)
